About the artwork
The story behind the piece.
‘Ruffled Feathers’ captures two cock pheasants in a moment of movement and confrontation, bringing together the colour, character and extraordinary detail of these familiar countryside birds.
Drawn in coloured pencil, the piece celebrates the textures and rich markings that make pheasants such striking subjects, and reflects my wider inspiration from British wildlife, field sports and rural life.
